You can purchase a whole, half or quarter animal.
All meat will be freezer packed, sealed, and labeled.
$5/lb hanging weight plus current processing fees (i.e. 2024 $0.90/lb hanging weight and $70/head kill fee).
We are now taking orders for a couple steers available in the next six months.
The sale price includes the processing fees and is based on hanging weight so that you pay for the size steer you get. Hanging weight is the dressed carcass, consisting of meat and bone only, which gets aged by the processor. The steer will be approximately 1000-1100 pounds when delivered to the processor. That typically makes for about 500-700 pounds hanging weight, which will yield about 300-450 pounds of beef. Typical yields are about 30% steaks, 30% roasts, and 40% hamburger and stew meat.
Whole steer requires deposit of $400
Half steer requires deposit of $250
Quarter steer requires deposit of $150
Our steers are free range and 100% grass-fed on nutritious fertilized East Texas native grasses. Our beef is all natural with no hormone implants, ever. We also do not use any type of routine antibiotics. We choose to take a few more months to finish cattle without using implants or feeding them antibiotics. And we do not buy and sell cattle, so our herd has very little exposure to contagious diseases.
